(CONFECTION PANDEMIC - 30 DAY)

During times like these, art is the best way for artists to cope with the pandemic. I used this chance of being stuck at home to create a piece that has become an outlet for me to not only release all frustrations but to also help brighten my day. For this project, I wanted to show that there are still things in life that everyone can enjoy doing without having to leave their home. I decided to make a cronut a day for 30 days and use icing and snacks to depict how a virus looks when seen through a microscope. The different decorations of each cronut represent the variants that are being discovered each day. It also shows how I have decided to face this pandemic, and that despite how terrible COVID-19 is, I am learning to see the brighter side of things.
